Chamber Hosts 2019 State of the City of Kenmore Luncheon

By | Chamber News, Events, Kenmore

On March 13 the Chamber was pleased to host our annual State of the City of Kenmore Luncheon with guest presenter Rob Karlinsey, Kenmore City Manager delivering the address.  Over 160 local business owners, professionals, and civic leaders gathered at the beautiful Inglewood Golf Club to hear the address, connect, network, and enjoy a delicious lunch.

Amongst the many topics Mr. Karlinsey spoke about were updates on Sound Transit’s ST3 transportation, The Lodge at Saint Edward seminary restoration, and the new FlyWay mixed-use apartment, restaurant & retail center.  All of these will add jobs, housing, and better commuting opportunities to Kenmore.

He provided an update on the Lakepointe project and how they will be pursuing other developers. He also announced a fun new Cruise Adventure boat from WhatsSup Stand-Up Paddle & Kayak that soon will be cruising up the Sammamish River with passengers! The Mosquito One will depart from Log Boom Park in Kenmore, travel up to the Bothell Bridge and back to Kenmore!

The Chamber wishes to thank all who attended, City of Kenmore City Manager Rob Karlinsey for speaking, Cascadia College President Dr. Eric Murray for MC’ing, the Inglewood Golf Club for hosting, all our Ambassadors, our musicians Randy Mac Music.

Bing Teng, Franchise Owner at Supercuts Bothell is named Chamber Member of the Month February 2019

January 2019 Member Of The Month

By | Bothell, Chamber News, Kenmore

Congratulations To Bing Teng For Being Named Chamber Member Of The Month!

Bing Teng, Franchise Owner of Supercuts Bothell Center can always be counted on to show up to volunteer, and is always creating opportunities for collaboration in our community.

While he is an incredibly savvy business person with an MBA and tremendous skills to offer, he never hesitates to help with the not so glamorous work at the Northshore Senior Center of setting up tables and chairs and washing dishes. His favorite activity at the center however is baking his now famous and delicious pies and quiches!

Bing is a regular contributor to the Chamber’s Bothell Downtown Action Committee, holds a leadership role with the Mercer Island Rotary, and is on the Board of Directors for the Northshore Senior Center. He also coordinates his staff to give back at Care Day, and volunteers often for Chamber events. Please join us in congratulating Bing Teng on being named the Bothell Kenmore Chamber’s Member of the Month!
